Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to support Store Manager in daily operations at our Jacksonville, TX location. This role focuses on selling, restocking, merchandising, scheduling, and staff guidance while maintaining excellent customer service.

The Assistant Manager will oversee store duties in the Manager's absence, with knowledge across all departments and a drive to promote merchandise and services. This position is non-exempt and hourly.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and achieve goals.
• Self-starter with initiative to take on important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Team-player with passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Lead in the Store Manager's absence and supervise staff.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by the store.
• Maintain high standards of customer service per manuals.
• Direct staff to complete department responsibilities and standards.
