Job summary

Sally Beauty seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading store teams and delivering an exceptional client experience. You will assist with hiring, training, and development, ensuring brand standards and smooth daily operations to meet KPIs and financial targets.

Role focuses on customer service, sales growth, scheduling, and policy adherence within a dynamic retail environment; prior retail or supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 3+ years retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
• At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
• Can effectively communicate with team and management.
• Must have scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business.
• Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

• 30% Brand: Supervises and plans associates’ daily goals to deliver an exceptional client experience and drive loyalty; ensures brand standards, merchandising, and omni-channel readiness.
• 30% People: Trains and develops teams, recruits when needed, coaches performance, and maintains positive associate relations.
• 30% Operations: Ensures execution of company processes, supports digital strategies, manages inventory and payroll hours, and oversees opening/closing procedures.
• 10% Safety/Loss Prevention: Maintains safe store environment, protects assets, and follows cash/inventory control procedures.
