Job summary

Gap is seeking an Assistant Manager to set the store tone and drive profitable sales through customer and product operations, merchandising and talent development. You will support the store strategy with your GM/AGM to coach Leads and Brand Associates for a best-in-class customer experience.

You will lead strategies to improve efficiency, recruit and develop teams, and ensure consistent SOP execution while promoting community involvement and an omni-channel customer journey.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication with customers and team.
• Passion for retail in a fast-paced environment.
• Metrics-driven to meet business goals.
• Able to lead and mentor others.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, weekends.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Drive store sales and deliver results through a customer-centric mindset.
• Recruit, hire and develop Brand Associate and Expert teams.
• Own assigned area of responsibility within the store.
• Implement action plans to maximize efficiencies and productivity.
• Perform Service Leader duties and ensure SOPs are followed.
• Represent the brand and understand the retail landscape.
• Promote community involvement and omni-channel experience.
