Job summary

Citi Trends, a leading off-price retailer, is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead the team, and partner with the Store Manager to drive sales and customer experience.

You will help with staffing, onboarding, training, and development of associates, while upholding policies and standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of store staff.
• Contribute to staffing by supporting recruiting and retention.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.
