J.Crew Group (JCG) is seeking an Assistant Manager in New York to join our leadership team. You will drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and strong community engagement, while coaching the sales team for peak performance.

You will collaborate with the Store Director and other leaders to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience, with opportunities to grow your leadership repertoire.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years retail management experience or equivalent leadership role.
• Demonstrated customer service excellence and brand focus.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to drive profitability and brand alignment.
• Own a division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Collaborate to create a positive, collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team consistently exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to elevate customer connections.
• Develop engaging community events to build loyalty.
