Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in your area to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure displays and seasonal areas remain well stocked.

The role includes opening/closing duties, payroll/scheduling tasks, loss prevention, and training Store Associates while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Move merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communicate store activities as required.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and loss prevention measures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and deposits/receipts.
• Keep store areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Protect assets including store cash and follow safety procedures.
• Train and supervise Store Associates; ensure a respectful environment.
• Provide friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.
