Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC is seeking a Full Time Assistant Store Manager in the Phoenix area with a starting pay of $17.50/hour. The role focuses on leading daily store operations, coaching staff, and delivering excellent donor and customer service within our ARC thrift setting.

You will partner with the Store Manager, supervise employees, handle cash operations, and ensure ARC merchandising standards and loss prevention are followed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
• Ability to operate POS/Cash Register and handle cash transactions.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s license and provide proof of insurance.
• Background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in day-to-day store operations.
• Oversee operations in the Store Manager's absence.
• Coach, train, and develop store staff.
• Maintain excellent Customer/Donor relations and resolve issues promptly.
• Communicate personnel issues with Management and HR as needed.
