Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC Phoenix is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager for the Oracle Thrift Store in Tucson, AZ. You will partner with the Store Manager to run daily operations, coach staff, and ensure excellent donor and customer service while promoting ARC standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years previous Retail Management/Supervisory experience.
• Must be able to accurately handle POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s license and show proof of insurance.
• Background check will be conducted (Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry).
• Effective communication with management, staff, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager in daily store operations.
• Oversee day-to-day operations in Store Manager's absence.
• Provide coaching, training, and development to store employees.
• Maintain strong Customer/Donor/Community relations and resolve complaints.
• Communicate personnel issues with Management and HR as needed.
• Ensure ARC merchandising standards and adequate inventory.
• Oversee BRP in absence of Store Manager to meet daily goals.
• Manage cash oversight, change, and banking per ARC policy.
• Support safety measures and loss prevention; perform other duties as assigned.
