Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking an Assistant Manager in Columbia, MO to support the Store Manager in daily operations and customer service excellence. You will supervise staff, promote store merchandise, and ensure policies and procedures are followed, even in the absence of the Store Manager.

The role requires retail experience, strong communication, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment. Reports to the Store Manager in Operations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assumes responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating store personnel.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
