Job summary

Dollar Tree in Sheboygan, WI is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves opening/closing duties, merchandise handling, payroll and scheduling tasks, and maintaining store standards.

You will lead by example in a high-energy environment, train Store Associates, and ensure a safe, friendly shopping experience for customers. This is a part-time, on-site position with growth opportunities within the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions/concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling).
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store (bathrooms, floors, trash, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
