Job summary

Dollar Tree in Green Bay, Wisconsin is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, assist customers, and develop the team. You will support opening and closing procedures, manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and ensure store standards.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills; experience in retail management is preferred; physical tasks include lifting up to 55 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, standing, etc.).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, and handle record keeping including payroll and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
