Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, well-organized store focused on customer satisfaction. You will assist with staff supervision, merchandising, deposits, and daily operations under the Store Manager's direction.

Responsibilities include customer service leadership, scheduling, training, stock management, and ensuring financial integrity through cash handling and deposits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• 1 year retail experience and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership at the register and on the floor.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, and safety meetings for employees.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages/markdowns.

• Ensure cash handling integrity and deposits.
• Assist in store management in the Store Manager's absence.
