Job summary

WinCo Foods is seeking an Asset Protection professional to detect, apprehend and process shoplifters while maintaining a safe store environment.

Contribute to loss prevention, de-escalation of tense situations, and investigations. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and be able to work 10–12 hour shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Proficiency with CCTV equipment is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience recognizing criteria to determine shoplifting.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
• Documenting work and customer service activities.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Team oriented.
• State/local certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Detects, apprehends and processes shoplifters in accordance with policies and laws.
• De-escalates situations with professional presence.
• Prepares and submits reports involving investigations.
• Researches and archives liability incidents via CCTV.
• Participates in investigations and may testify in court.
• Works with local, state and government agencies.
• Maintains asset protection and safety programs.
• Operates CCTV equipment and reports issues.
