Job summary

WinCo Foods is seeking an Asset Protection professional to manage detection, apprehension and processing of shoplifters while maintaining a safe store environment.

The role supports store management, conducts investigations, and interacts with local authorities as needed. Candidates should be able to work 10-12 hour shifts in a 24/7 operation, travel within a defined area, and possess strong communications and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
• Ability to document work and customer service activities.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work 10-12 hour shifts in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Detects, apprehends and processes shoplifters in accordance with company policies and local laws.
• De-escalates situations with professional presence and maintains a safe store environment.
• Prepares and submits reports involving investigations and AP matters.
• Participates in internal company investigations and testifies when needed.
• Maintains asset protection office and equipment; troubleshoots CCTV equipment.
• Travel daily within a defined geographic area to assigned locations.
