Job summary

WinCo Foods, LLC is seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to oversee detection, apprehension and processing of shoplifters while supporting store leadership in loss prevention strategies.

You will de-escalate incidents, document investigations, and coordinate with local agencies. The role requires 10–12 hour shifts in a 24/7 operation, travel within a defined geographic area, and proficiency with CCTV equipment and security hardware.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience recognizing shoplifting criteria and handling difficult situations.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to document work and investigations clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work 10–12 hour shifts in a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Detects, apprehends and processes shoplifters per policy and law.
• Assist store management in maintaining a safe environment for customers, vendors and staff.
• Prepare and submit reports on investigations and AP matters.
• Maintain asset protection programs and conduct audits.
• Provide AP training to store staff.
