Job summary

The Buckle, Inc. is opening a brand‑new store at the Carolina Premium Outlets in Smithfield, NC in mid‑September.

We are hiring a Seamstress/Tailor to fulfill our mission of creating the most enjoyable shopping experience for our guests, by performing alterations and hemming on merchandise in the store. Essential duties include quality alterations, measuring and marking, using the Buckle sewing machine, and keeping alteration logs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related sewing, fitting, and alteration experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality alterations on merchandise at store location.
• Measure and mark alteration lines.
• Pin altering folds or mark on cloth at seam to indicate alterations in progress.
• Resew merchandise using needle and thread or sewing machine.
• Press merchandise and maintain alteration logs.
• Meet deadlines and Guest expectations for merchandise alterations.
