Job summary

Minnesota Cannabis Services is seeking a Retail Assistant General Manager to lead a fast-growing cannabis retail operation. You’ll work closely with the GM to drive store performance, coach high-performing teams, and deliver exceptional customer experiences daily.

The role is designed to prepare you for future General Manager responsibilities through mentorship, operational training, and leadership development in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in daily store operations, including scheduling, compliance, and sales execution.
• Act as acting GM during absences—lead daily briefings, coach staff, and maintain standards.
• Oversee cash and inventory controls, ensuring accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive visual merchandising, online/kiosk menu accuracy, and in-store promotions.
• Coach and develop team members through feedback, performance management, and leadership mentoring.
• Collaborate with HR, marketing, and procurement to optimize store performance.
• Handle escalated customer concerns and uphold service excellence.
