After years building the best POS platform for restaurateurs, Toast is expanding into food and beverage sectors such as convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. This role requires a founder’s mindset as we develop the Toast Retail platform.

As a Territory Account Executive, you will be part of a team transforming how convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops operate. Using a consultative approach, you will prospect, build relationships, and sign up new accounts, developing customized solutions to help their businesses thrive. Your passion, sales expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit will be key in building the Toast brand in your assigned territory.

Responsibilities
  • Use a consultative approach to prospect, build relationships, and sign up new convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops.
  • Generate lists of prospects and manage the entire sales cycle from initial call to close.
  • Conduct demos and develop solutions that meet prospect needs.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure expectations set during sales are met during delivery.
  • Leverage Salesforce to manage all sales activities.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and position Toast effectively in the market.
Requirements

  • Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills; ability to sell and negotiate at all decision levels.
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team environment.
  • Self-motivated, creative, flexible, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Reside in or near the target market.
  • Willingness to travel 25% or more.

The estimated total targeted cash compensation ranges from $129,000 to $206,000 USD, including base salary, commission, benefits, and equity (if eligible). Starting salary depends on skills, experience, and location.
