Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a dedicated role to support students and teachers inside the classroom through observation, coaching, and modeling restorative language. The position involves debriefing with teachers and students to promote positive behavior and learning outcomes.

The role requires a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred) and at least one year of related experience, with a Colorado residence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.

Responsibilities

• Supervises groups of students with behavior problems who have been suspended from the regular classroom.
• Assists students with assignments, gathers materials, and supports learning and positive behavior.
• Conducts home visits, makes calls, and prepares written materials.
• Develops and plans recreational activities.
• Locates resources to provide crisis intervention.
• Creates reports for Administration, Teachers, and Parents.
• Manages behavior referrals and SIT process; supports restorative justice initiatives.
• Provides RJ training and direct RJ support to teachers and students.
• Trains employees on Behavior Management Techniques.
