Job summary

Manchester Healthcare Center, a 49-bed SNF located in Los Angeles, is seeking a compassionate Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) to join our team. Under the direction of a licensed nurse, the RNA delivers restorative care, supports patient outcomes, and contributes to family satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has CNA certification, two years' CNA experience with restorative care, and strong communication skills. A high school diploma and basic computer literacy are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of state-approved CNA program.
• Two years' CNA experience with restorative nursing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy or willingness to learn.
• Must complete 12 hours of continuing education annually.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English.
• TST verification as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and participates in restorative programs for individual patients.
• Coordinates with Nursing and Rehab on goals and approaches.
• Participates in care planning and provides safe restorative care.
• Maintains accurate progress records in the EMR.
• Trains staff in restorative techniques and assists in providing care.
• Notifies Nursing/ Rehab of changes in patient functioning.
• Maintains proficiency with wheelchairs, walkers, lifts, scales, and related equipment.
• Communicates patient progress to patients and families.
• Promotes a culture of safety within the facility.
