Job summary

Manchester Healthcare Center in Los Angeles seeks a compassionate Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA/CNA) to join our team. Under a licensed nurse, you will deliver restorative nursing care, support positive outcomes, and contribute to patient/family satisfaction.

The ideal candidate holds a state CNA certification, has two years of CNA experience, a high school diploma, and basic computer skills. You will work with the care team, complete ongoing education, and use EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved CNA program.
• Two years' CNA experience and knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy and procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
• At least 12 hours of continuing education to maintain certification.
• English reading, writing, speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in restorative programs for individual patients.
• Communicate with Nursing and Rehabilitation on goals and approaches to patient needs.
• Participate in the care planning process.
• Provide safe restorative care.
• Maintain accurate restorative nursing progress/documentation records.
• Use the EMR for ADL data according to facility policies.
• Train direct care staff in restorative techniques and assist in providing that care.
• Notify Nursing/Rehab of patients with changes in function.
• Maintain proficiency with wheelchairs, walkers, lifts, scales and related equipment.
• Assist in communicating patient progress to patients and families.
• Promote a culture of safety to ensure a healthy practice and living environment.
