Palazzopostacute is seeking a compassionate Restorative Nursing Assistant to support residents' functional goals through restorative care, mobility assistance, and daily tasks. You will document progress and collaborate with supervisors to adjust plans.

The role requires prior CNA/RNA experience, completion of restorative aide training, and an active CNA certification; CPR is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with paid time off and benefits offered.

Restorative Nursing Assistant Summary:

The Restorative Nursing Assistant provides restorative nursing services that assist the resident to restore, improve or maintain bodily functions to the highest degree practicable in accordance with the resident's assessment, care plan and as directed by supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs responsibilities with all identified residents including: passive/active range of motion, splint/ brace assistance, bed mobility, transfer, ambulation, dressing/grooming, eating/swallowing/dining, amputation/prosthesis care, communication, positioning, bowel and bladder continence, hygiene tasks, use of adaptive equipment (i.e., walkers, canes, slide boards, communication boards, adaptive eating utensils, use of trapeze, reachers, lift equipment, etc.).
• Documents objective information and care provided to the resident per facility charting guidelines, to include daily charting of services performed and weekly summary of resident progress with restorative services.
• Documents and reports observations and other pertinent information regarding changes in resident functioning, behavior, mood, physical condition or refusal of services to Supervisor.
• Provides input regarding plan of care based on past experience with resident and reports methods or approaches that are successful for individual residents.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous healthcare experience, preferably as CNA or RNA, providing direct care to multiple patients/residents preferred; previous experience in Skilled Nursing environment desirable
• Completion of certified Restorative Aide training course
• Completion of certification program for Nursing Assistants and maintenance of current, unencumbered certification required.
• Current valid CPR certification preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
