Job summary

US Skilled Serve is hiring a Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) in California to work with residents under the Therapy Department and Charge Nurse. You will perform restorative nursing to help residents reach maximum mobility and maintain a safe, dignified environment. Schedule: 4 days on, 2 days off.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a CNA program, CA RNA and CNA certifications, and a current BLS CPR card. Prior SNF RNA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a CNA program.
• One year of RNA experience in an SNF and a current RNA certificate.
• Current California CNA certification in good standing
• Current California RNA certification
• Current BLS CPR Card

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ROM and strengthening exercises to improve or maintain mobility.
• Document activities of daily living per facility policy.
• Monitor placement of restorative devices/equipment for proper use.
• Assist with turning and positioning heavy residents.
• Provide daily/weekly progress notes for each resident in the restorative program.
• Report significant changes in residents' condition or motivation.
• Assess pain before and after treatments.
• Follow the restorative plan and assist with ADLs (dressing, feeding, hygiene).
• Coaching CNAs on ROM, ambulation, ADL, and safety device use.
• Maintain safe technique and encourage self-care skills.
