Job summary

Aegis Therapies is seeking a Restorative CNA - Wellness Instructor to join the Rehab Therapy Team in a PRN capacity at a rehabilitation facility. You will work with therapists to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs and receive onsite restorative training.

CNA certification is required and prior restorative experience is not mandatory. Responsibilities include assisting in restorative care and performing ambulation, transfers, ROM, and other activities that support patient mobility

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in state of practice.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor or health and fitness specialist preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, ROM, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited tasks outside CNA scope.

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
