Job summary

Tacoma-Nursing- is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support restorative care programs in a long-term care/nursing home setting. You will assist with therapeutic exercises, help residents with daily activities, observe responses and document progress, and coordinate with the restorative team.

Requirements include WA CNA license, high school diploma or equivalent, on-the-job training by a qualified therapist, and completion of 12 hours of CE per year.

Qualifications

• Prior long-term care experience.
• On-the-job training provided by a licensed therapist (PT/OT).
• Ability to work well with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with active and passive therapeutic exercises under supervision.
• Instruct and assist residents in functional activities and document outcomes.
• Observe and report resident responses to treatments and progress.
• Coordinate with restorative staff to plan and modify treatment programs.
• Record resident information on restorative flow sheets.
• Assist with resident meal service as assigned.
• Answer signal lights, bells, or intercom and provide care.
• Transport residents to/from restorative programs.
• Meet with Nurse Manager monthly to review progress.
