Job summary

ServiceMaster Restore is hiring a skilled Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial properties. This hands-on role requires you to work under pressure, maintain high craftsmanship, and prioritize customer care during loss events.

You will handle water extraction, drying, fire and smoke mitigation, operate and monitor equipment, document progress, and follow safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, general labor, or skilled trades preferred.
• Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, or fire damage cleanup a plus.
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varied environments.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls.

Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation
• Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers)
• Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials
• Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents
• Take moisture readings using meters and thermal imaging tools
• Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software
• Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites
• Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and team members
• Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response services
