Job summary

ServiceMaster is seeking an Estimator to craft accurate Xactimate-based estimates for commercial and insurance restoration projects. The role demands attention to detail, a basic construction background, and familiarity with building materials affected by wind, water, fire, and smoke damage.

Qualifications

• Xactimate experience is an essential requirement for this role.
• A basic construction background helps with understanding building materials and related damage.
• Knowledge of commercial and insurance restoration industry is important.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and scope jobs on-site and coordinate with Lead Tech on scope.
• Document losses with photos and upload into the system.
• Write mitigation and reconstruction estimates using Xactimate and other estimating software.
• Communicate key information and notes in required software.
• Estimate using carrier audit standards and manage estimates with client feedback.
• Ensure all required documentation (photos, notes, signed documents) is complete.
• Record drying progress using mobile software and determine labor/equipment costs.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing for materials.
• Communicate with insurance companies and adjusters via phone/email as liaison.
• Manage all estimate documents and assess project risks.
• Review quotes with the construction project team and address exceptions promptly.
