Job summary

Total Restoration Industries LLC seeks an experienced Restoration Estimator to prepare accurate estimates and bills for water, fire, mold, and asbestos restoration projects. The role centers on strong Xactimate skills and converting field docs into complete, well-supported bills.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Directors, and Accounts Receivable to ensure services are billed accurately and supported during insurance reviews and settlements.

Qualifications

• Prior experience preparing restoration estimates and bills in Xactimate.
• Strong knowledge of water mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, and mold remediation.
• Ability to independently review field documentation and develop a complete, defensible estimate.
• Understanding of restoration equipment, drying procedures, labor requirements, and subcontracted services.
• Experience communicating with insurance adjusters and resolving estimate discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise Xactimate estimates, final bills, supplements, and time-and-materials billing for restoration work.
• Review project scopes, sketches, measurements, photos, moisture readings, and invoices.
• Use sketches and ESX files to develop accurate estimates and verify room dimensions.
• Ensure estimates reflect work performed, equipment used, labor, materials, and vendor services.
• Identify missing documentation or unbilled services and clarify before billing.
• Write clear line-item notes and supporting explanations for charges.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters and other claim representatives regarding estimates.
• Provide supporting documentation for disputed charges and prepare supplements when needed.
• Coordinate with field teams to resolve documentation gaps and confirm project details.
• Maintain estimating notes and files in company systems; meet deadlines.
