Job summary

ServiceMaster CDR in Northeast Ohio is seeking a Write/Run Construction Estimator to create precise Xactimate estimates and manage projects from estimation to completion. You will conduct onsite inspections, coordinate with insurance adjusters, clients, and subcontractors, and monitor timelines and budgets to ensure high-quality restoration.

The role requires Xactimate experience, 3+ years of construction management, and 2+ years in restoration, plus strong communication and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Xactimate estimating experience.
• 3+ years of construction project management experience.
• 2+ years of restoration industry experience.
• Knowledge of building materials and damage restoration processes.
• Ability to multi-task and stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing teams of subcontractors.
• Proficiency with smartphones/tablets/job management software.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite inspections and prepare precise Xactimate estimates in line with program guidelines and IICRC standards.
• Manage the jobs you estimate, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and quality restoration.
• Document clear job site photos and project reports.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and scheduling subcontractors to keep projects on track.
• Reviewing and submitting change orders, supplements, and final invoicing details.
• Providing excellent customer service, guiding homeowners and business owners through the repair process and payment expectations.
• Ensuring all necessary permits, inspections, and compliance requirements are met.
