Job summary

Americon Restoration of the Ohio Valley is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our growing team. You will inspect properties damaged by water, fire, storms, or mold, and prepare accurate estimates for mitigation and reconstruction.

Responsibilities include documenting scopes, communicating with homeowners and insurance partners, and coordinating with project teams to ensure alignment from assessment to rebuild.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating restoration/construction claims preferred.
• Experience with Xactimate strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Comfortable working both in the field and in an office environment.
• Experience reading insurance scopes and claim documentation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect residential and commercial properties for restoration and reconstruction damage.
• Prepare accurate estimates for mitigation, repairs, and reconstruction work using estimating software (Xactimate preferred).
• Document scope of work with photos, notes, and supporting details.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners, property managers, adjusters, and internal teams.
• Review insurance claim documentation and coordinate with insurance carriers when needed.
• Work closely with project managers, mitigation teams, and reconstruction staff to ensure project alignment.
• Track estimate approvals, revisions, supplements, and change orders; assist in developing scopes for water, fire, storm, mold, and reconstruction projects.
• Maintain organized job files and accurate project documentation.
• Support customers through the restoration process with professionalism and empathy.
