Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 3+ years reconstruction estimating experience in restoration or construction.
• Experience writing insurance-based estimates in Xactimate.
• Experience negotiating supplements with insurance carriers.
• Knowledge of local building codes and OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates for residential and commercial rebuilds following water, fire, or storm damage.
• Negotiate and settle reconstruction estimates with insurance carriers and adjusters.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and owners to produce accurate estimates and manage the bidding process.
• Review mitigation documentation to ensure complete and accurate reconstruction scoping.
• Maintain cost databases and historical pricing records.
