What does a Restoration Estimator (RE) with Paul Davis do?

Restoration Estimators work with owners, adjusters, and Project Managers after traumatic events such as a fire or flood to clean up and repair damage to residential and commercial property. As a RE, you will be on scene after property disasters to accurately scope projects and sign work for our production teams to complete. You will build relationships with insurance professionals and communicate with property owners the expectations to rebuild structures to their original form.

Team Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base commission, with potential to earn $50,000 to $100,000 annually depending on performance; no earning cap.
Team Qualifications (Requirements):
  • Ability to communicate truthfully and confidently with property owners
  • Proficiency with current technology
  • Focus on learning and ongoing education in construction, sales, and project management
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • High school diploma

Previous estimating experience with tools like Xactimate or Symbility is preferred but not mandatory if you are willing to learn. Industry certifications such as IICRC and Lead are a plus. We will invest in your training if you meet the qualifications but lack experience.

Role on the Team (Job Functions):
  • Achieve operational objectives: Sales, Gross Margin, Brand Experience
  • Maintain detailed client records and job files for timely completion
  • Communicate expectations clearly with project managers and adjusters
  • Scope estimates profitably and sign projects to initiate work
  • Manage work order entries in management software
  • Document change orders and insurance supplements
  • Ensure project completion within profit margins and service standards
  • Participate in on-call rotations, providing evening and weekend support as scheduled
  • Schedule appointments and communicate deadlines to team members
  • Respond to calls and emails from clients and prospects

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
