Job summary

Baxter & Woodman seeks a Restoration Ecologist - Stewardship Crew I to join our Naperville, Marengo, or Mokena, IL team. You will perform diverse restoration tasks and collaborate with senior ecologists across projects mostly within an hour of our offices.

Requirements include an Associates or Bachelor’s in Natural Resources or related field, ability to obtain an herbicide license within 30 days, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resources or related field.
• Must be able to acquire herbicide license within 30 days of start date.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move and carry 35-50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must be willing to work outside.

Responsibilities

• Complete all aspects of restoration work including planting, seeding, erosion control, brush cutting, and herbicide application in stream, prairie, and woodland restoration areas.
• Assist with construction projects such as stream restoration and detention basin retrofits.
• Complete work for municipalities, subdivisions, and private clients.
