Baxter and Woodman Inc in Illinois is seeking a Restoration Ecologist - Stewardship Crew I to join our field team across Naperville, Marengo, or Mokena. You will complete restoration tasks under experienced ecologists and contribute to municipal, private, and subdivision projects.

Ideal candidates have an associates or bachelor’s degree in natural resources and can obtain a herbicide license within 30 days. Expect a team-first culture and active outdoor work in varied environments.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources or a related field.
• Must be able to acquire a herbicide license within 30 days of start date.
• Ability to work as part of a field-based restoration crew.

Responsibilities

• Complete all aspects of restoration work including planting, seeding, erosion control methods, brush cutting, and herbicide application.
• Assist with construction projects like stream restoration and detention basin retrofits.
• Complete work for municipalities, subdivisions, and private clients.
