Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an Intermediate Carpenter to provide operational support in reconstruction efforts with extensive carpentry experience. The role involves developing scope with estimators, running projects autonomously, and advancing from residential to commercial/multi-family work as part of the Progressive Carpenter track.

The position requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and periodic travel, with training and safety courses provided by BELFOR.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Assist with scope development with BELFOR Estimators.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems with the project and request guidance.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for construction dust, dirt and contaminants.
• Perform tasks related to floodcutting, salvaging and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Attend and complete shrink wrap training and perform four shrink wrap projects.
• Identify insulation types and their R-values.
• Apply skills to Trim, Doors, Cabinetry, Insulation, Rough Framing, Ceilings, Roofing, Siding.
