Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an Intermediate Carpenter to provide operational support in reconstruction efforts with extensive carpentry experience and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

The role includes scope development assistance with estimators, day-to-day project execution, and contributing to training of junior carpenters. Travel and irregular hours may be required in support of emergency services.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience with little supervision.
• Ability to assist with scope development with estimators.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and request guidance as needed.
• Answer questions and direct complex inquiries to specialists.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for dust, dirt, and contaminants.
• Perform floodcutting, salvaging, and labeling baseboards/cabinets/doors.
• Complete shrink wrap training and four projects.
• Identify insulation types and their R-values.
• Apply skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, framing, ceilings, roofing, siding.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks.
• Meet BELFOR standards for safeguarding property.
• Maintain customer service standards and work under time constraints.
• Occasional night/weekend shifts and periodic travel.
