Job summary

Checkers & Rally’s is seeking a Restaurant Technology Specialist in Tampa, FL, to manage menu content in the Aloha POS and RTI Back Office. You’ll ensure accurate pricing, promotions, and configurations across all locations, while coordinating with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and external partners.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 1 year in POS programming and BOH configuration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience in information technology, Business Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 1 year of direct experience with POS menu programming and configuration.
• Minimum of 1 year of direct experience with BOH configuration.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think independently, take the initiative, think resourcefully, take corrective action, and resolve inquiries.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical requirements and deliver accurate, timely deployments.
• Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, and Finance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain integrity of the POS database and implement menu-related changes.
• Configure menu items, pricing, taxes, modifiers, combos, and promotions.
• Ensure menu content accuracy across all locations.
• Maintain menu standards and documentation.
• Oversee end-to-end menu deployment process and recipe management in RTI BOH.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and deploy changes.
• Build, test, validate, and coordinate launch readiness.
• Maintain deployment documentation and records.
• Execute test plans and validation procedures.
• Perform QA reviews of menu and pricing.
• Validate promotional offers and system functionality.
• Investigate and resolve configuration errors.
• Provide technical support for menu and pricing issues.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and escalations.
• Troubleshoot POS and menu configuration problems.
• Coordinate resolution with vendors and internal teams.
• Support restaurant operations during deployments and promotions.
• Administer RTI Back Office platform and manage user access.
• Support reporting and operational analytics.
• Troubleshoot back-office system issues.
• Coordinate enhancements and vendor support activities.
• Partner with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Technology teams.
• Translate business requirements into system configurations.
• Ensure compliance with policies and data governance standards.
• Maintain audit trails and documentation.
• Follow POS administration and change-management best practices.
