McAlister’s Deli in Dothan, AL is seeking a part-time Restaurant Team Member. You will greet guests, take orders, prepare food items, deliver orders, and maintain dining room cleanliness while ensuring accuracy and quality.

The role emphasizes friendly service, cash handling, and adherence to McAlister’s standards. The position requires 1 year in a casual dining setting, being 16 years or older, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a casual restaurant dining.
• 16 years of age or older.
• Ability to be self-reliant. Execute assigned duties and responsibility from upper management staff.
• Able to speak, read, and write effectively. Excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with management, corporate staff, restaurant employees, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of certain food items.
• Greeting our guests and taking their orders accurately in a friendly manner.
• Knowledge of the menu items and their ingredients; familiarity with the step-by-step procedure for friendly and efficient customer service; ensure accurate cash control.
• Deliver orders to guest; ensure each order is complete and prepared properly; familiarize with all menu items and packaging.
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining room and service to our guests.
• Ensure each guest receives exactly what was ordered, promptly and courteously; direct orders to dining room, curbside and pickup areas.
• Recognize when a station is falling behind and render assistance without hindering others.
• Fill all drink orders; familiarity with customer service procedures.
• Prepare menu items quickly and according to specks; maintain quality standards of products prepared.
• Maintain the overall quality standards of the products prepared.
