Job summary

Newk’s Eatery is seeking an Associate Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, coach team members, and collaborate with the General Manager to deliver outstanding guest experiences. You’ll drive service standards, mentor staff, and ensure smooth shifts in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll oversee hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and cost control while maintaining food safety and a positive, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant.
• Willingness to obtain ServSafe Manager Certification if not already held.
• Strong communication and coaching skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts while ensuring outstanding food quality and guest service.
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members through hands-on leadership.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Create a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and health department standards are maintained.
• Help manage labor, scheduling, inventory, and food costs.
• Monitor cash handling, POS accuracy, and restaurant security procedures.
• Support execution of promotions, new menu rollouts, and operational initiatives.
• Address guest concerns quickly and professionally.
• Step in to oversee restaurant operations when the General Manager is unavailable.
