Newk’s Eatery is seeking an Associate Manager to partner with the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, driving guest satisfaction and profitability. You will lead shifts, hire and train staff, and cultivate a positive, high-performing team culture in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Ideal candidates bring prior leadership experience in restaurants, strong coaching skills, and a commitment to food safety and guest service excellence.

Qualifications

• Restaurant leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Shift Lead or Certified Trainer experience encouraged to apply.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
• Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized, dependable, and results-oriented.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and restaurant POS systems.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• ServSafe Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts while ensuring outstanding food quality and guest service.
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members through hands-on leadership.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Create a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture.
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and health department standards are maintained.
• Help manage labor, scheduling, inventory, and food costs.
• Monitor cash handling, POS accuracy, and restaurant security procedures.
• Support execution of promotions, new menu rollouts, and operational initiatives.
• Address guest concerns quickly and professionally.
• Step in to oversee restaurant operations when the General Manager is unavailable.
