Job summary

Newk’s Eatery is seeking an Associate Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, coach team members, and collaborate with the General Manager to deliver outstanding guest experiences. You’ll drive service standards, mentor staff, and ensure smooth shifts in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll oversee hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and cost control while maintaining food safety and a positive, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant.
• Willingness to obtain ServSafe Manager Certification if not already held.
• Strong communication and coaching skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts while ensuring outstanding food quality and guest service.
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members through hands-on leadership.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.

As an Associate Manager, you’ll partner with the General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, develop team members, deliver an exceptional guest experience, and help drive sales and profitability.

What You’ll Do

• Lead shifts while ensuring outstanding food quality and guest service
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members through hands-on leadership

We’re Looking For

• Previous restaurant leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Shift Lead or Certified Trainer experience encouraged to apply
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills
• Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Organized, dependable, and results-oriented
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and restaurant POS systems
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• ServSafe Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Bend, reach, twist, and move throughout the restaurant
• Work in varying temperatures, including kitchen and cooler environments
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands
