Job summary

Newk’s Eatery is seeking an Associate Manager to partner with the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations. The role focuses on developing team members, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving sales and profitability.

Responsibilities include leading shifts, hiring and onboarding, maintaining food safety, managing labor and costs, and supporting promotions and new menu launches in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant leadership or supervisory experience.
• Shift Lead or Certified Trainer experience encouraged to apply.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
• ServSafe Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts while ensuring outstanding food quality and guest service
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members through hands-on leadership
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees
• Create a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture
• Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and health department standards are maintained
• Help manage labor, scheduling, inventory, and food costs
• Monitor cash handling, POS accuracy, and restaurant security procedures
• Support execution of promotions, new menu rollouts, and operational initiatives
• Address guest concerns quickly and professionally
• Step in to oversee restaurant operations when the General Manager is unavailable
