Job summary

The Omaha Marriott at the Capital District, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Restaurant Supervisor to lead a high-energy dining team and uphold service excellence in our downtown Omaha location.

Responsibilities include front- and back-of-house supervision, staff training, monitoring quality, managing inventory and payroll, and promoting guest satisfaction while adhering to brand standards and hotel policies.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality or F&B supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

• Perform front- and back-of-house roles as needed (server, cashier, expeditor).
• Supervise staff and oversee department operations in the manager's absence.
• Support ongoing training to uphold service and brand standards.
• Monitor food quality, service, cleanliness, and sanitation across all areas.
• Manage inventory, orders, payroll and equipment costs.
• Build positive guest relationships and resolve concerns effectively.
• Utilize POS and restaurant systems for accurate transactions and reporting.

What you will be doing:

• Perform all front- and back-of-house roles, including server, cashier, and expeditor as needed.
• Supervise staff and oversee department operations in the manager's absence.
• Support ongoing training to uphold exceptional service and brand standards.
• Monitor food quality, service, cleanliness, and sanitation across all areas.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control payroll and equipment costs.
• Build positive guest relationships by promoting services and through resolving concerns effectively.
• Utilize POS and restaurant management systems to ensure accurate transactions, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Model professionalism while supporting hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or food and beverage supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous bartending experience and knowledge of food and beverage operations, including staffing, equipment, and guest relations.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, to be able to handle guest requests and banquet event orders.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations with patience and diplomacy.
• Comfortable standing and moving throughout shifts in restaurant and kitchen areas.
• Proficient knife skills and ability to perform prep work with dexterity.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required and must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holiday.
