Job summary

The Omaha Marriott Downtown At The Capitol District is seeking a dedicated Server for Society 1854 to deliver exceptional food and beverage service in a fine-dining environment. You will greet guests, explain specials, input orders, and ensure guest satisfaction with professional, friendly service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (preferred), strong English, knowledge of F&B service, and ability to work a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of food & beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.
• Handle customer complaints with empathy and proactive solutions.
• Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.
• Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion and move through crowded rooms to seat guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays with reliable transportation.
• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate; TIPS and Douglas County food handler certification required; CPR/First Aid Training preferred.

• Understand menu including ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.
• Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.
• Address and resolve guest complaints.

What will you be doing?
