Job summary

The Omaha Marriott Downtown is seeking a dedicated Server for Society 1854 to deliver exceptional food and beverage service in a luxury hotel setting. You will tailor experiences for guests, input orders, and ensure a courteous, timely, and professional dining environment.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, explaining specials, managing the POS system, handling payments, and resolving guest concerns while maintaining polished standards and compliance with liquor regulations.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, and menu items.
• One year+ service in a fine dining outlet preferred.
• Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.
• Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion and move through crowded rooms to seat guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays; reliable transportation.
• CPR/First Aid Training preferred; TIPS and Douglas County food handler certification required.

What will you be doing?

What do you bring to the role?

• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• Must have high level of knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.
• Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.
• Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.
• Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays and ha ve reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.TIPS and Douglas County food handler certification required.CPR certification and / or First Aid Training preferred.
