Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory is seeking a Steward in Valley Stream, NY to support front-line restaurant operations with food, beverage and supply needs. You will place orders, verify deliveries, and maintain inventory accuracy across dry storage, coolers and freezers while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant, kitchen, or food service preferred.
• Experience with inventory, ordering, receiving, or supply management is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards.
• Ability to maintain accuracy with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary support for all food, beverage, and supply needs.
• Place orders while maintaining accurate documentation and inventory logs.
• Receive and inspect deliveries, verifying order accuracy, weights, and measurements while ensuring items meet quality standards.
• Stock, zone, and organize inventory in designated areas, including dry storage, coolers, and freezers.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO practices.
• Maintain organized storage systems that support kitchen efficiency and accessibility.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Work with speed and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow instructions accurately, completing assigned tasks with consistency and attention to detail.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, fostering positive vendor relations.
• Demonstrate leadership through accountability, problem solving, and upholding standards.
• Multitask and work well under pressure with a positive, patient attitude.
