Summary of Position

A shift leader supports management in meeting restaurant goals by implementing, managing, and enforcing company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. They take a hands-on leadership role to deliver:

• 100% Guest Satisfaction

Reporting Relationships

Reports directly to the General Manager or Manager on duty. Has extensive contact with all levels of store personnel and home office departments. External contacts include guests and distributors.

Position Activities and Tasks

Ensures all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, following all procedures and health regulations. May perform or assist all restaurant functions as needed.

Prepares each shift through planning, inspection, and anticipation of challenges. Communicates expectations, assigns work, and motivates the team. Leads the shift by maintaining standards, managing the team, and resolving issues promptly. Measures shift results and communicates with management about performance, guest concerns, and operational issues.
