POSITION SUMMARY

A shift leader supports management in achieving restaurant goals by implementing, managing, and enforcing company policies, procedures, programs, and performance standards. This role involves taking a hands-on leadership role to ensure:

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports directly to the General Manager or Manager on duty. Maintains extensive contact with all levels of store personnel and departments, as well as external contacts including guests and distributors.

POSITION ACTIVITIES AND TASKS

• Ensure all menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented properly in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, following all procedures and regulations.
• Perform or assist with all restaurant functions as needed.
• Prepare each shift through planning, inspection, and anticipating challenges. Communicate expectations, assign tasks, and motivate the team.
• Lead the shift by maintaining standards, keeping the team organized and positive, and addressing issues promptly.
• Review shift results, ensure readiness for the next shift, and communicate with management regarding performance and issues.
