Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience or training in guest service is desirable.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos.
• Ability to read and speak English well enough to understand guest checks.
• Basic math for guest checks and payments.
• IHOP training course work as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with IHOP guests and employees.
• Execute Service Guidelines per the IHOP SOP for a high-quality guest experience.
• Handle guest complaints in a professional, courteous and timely manner.
• Memorize and apply IHOP terminology, abbreviations, methodologies, and menu knowledge.
• Comply with SOP methods regarding guest checks and server banking procedures.
• Stock and rotate supplies in service areas and dining room per shift.
• Follow local health, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables after guests leave.
• Perform cleaning duties per posted charts.
• Wear IHOP uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines.
• Perform other assignments by General Manager or supervisor.
• Comply with IHOP N Go program as assigned.
