Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group is seeking an hourly, non-exempt team member to join our Outback Steakhouse family in California. You will provide attentive service, know the menu well, upsell items, and support all areas of the restaurant while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to sell alcohol.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and stooping.
• Manual dexterity to handle glassware, utensils, and technology systems.
• Ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Visual ability to include distance, closeness, color, depth and peripheral. Working in areas with low or dim lighting.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
• For all California based positions: Responsible Beverage Service Certifications Required (can be completed during training, and up to 60 days after start date).

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt, and attentive service guided by guest preferences.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of food and drink menu; confidently upsell and support guest orders.
• Prepare food and condiments adhering to Outback standards.
• Ensure accurate guest orders; bus tables, deliver food and beverages, strive to WOW guests; teamwork is essential.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Support all areas of the restaurant as needed.
